Candlewood Point Homeowners Tax District (CPHTD) is a private lake community in a lovely park-like setting with a sunny, sandy beach on the northeast shore of Candlewood Lake. Our main entrance is on Old Town Park Road, a few hundred feet from Hill & Plain School and about a mile from New Milford High School. Another entrance is on Candlewood Lake Road North.  As a tax district, we maintain our private beach and roads through taxes; we have no additional homeowner fees. Taxes are based on the Town of New Milford assessment and are tax deductible. Operations are managed by the Board of Directors who are elected at an annual meeting held in  May.
