Welcome to Candlewood Point

2026-2027

The 2026 CPHTD Annual Meeting was held on Saturday, May 23 at the New Milford Public Library. Members voted on board nominations, approved the 2026–27 budget, authorized funding for the beach stairs and driveway project, and approved an amendment to Ordinance #3 allowing golf carts.

Candlewood Point Homeowners Tax District (CPHTD) is a private lake community in a lovely park-like setting with a sunny, sandy beach on the northeast shore of Candlewood Lake. Our main entrance is on Old Town Park Road, a few hundred feet from Hill & Plain School and about a mile from New Milford High School. Another entrance is on Candlewood Lake Road North.  As a tax district, we maintain our private beach and roads through taxes; we have no additional homeowner fees. Taxes are based on the Town of New Milford assessment and are tax deductible. Operations are managed by the Board of Directors who are elected at an annual meeting held in  May.
